Commercial Property Firm Office Move from WC1 to SW1H

A 20-person London office move delivered over a single weekend, including a rebuilt phone system.

Client Challenge

With their WC1 lease running out, the firm needed to move 20 people to new premises in SW1H without losing a working day. Their telephony contract still had over a year to run, and the business was not prepared to pay an early termination penalty simply because the office was moving.

LANIX Solution

LANIX planned a weekend-only IT infrastructure move covering IT equipment, cabling, switches, servers and WiFi, plus AV for the meeting room including a large-format TV. Rather than cancelling the phone contract, LANIX converted the service to offnet IP and worked directly with the provider to carry the existing agreement across to the new office.

Project Delivery

The move was completed across two days at the weekend, with removal and transportation handled in London and works coordinated alongside the furniture and fit-out teams. The converted phone system was built and tested in the LANIX office before the move, then installed and handed over so the team could start work as normal on Monday morning.

Why LANIX?

The firm has been a LANIX client for over 20 years, from IT supplies through to full infrastructure. That long relationship, combined with wide IT market knowledge and technical skill, allows LANIX to support the business accurately and efficiently across every aspect of their IT.
