Unified Communications & Voice

Still Paying for a Phone System Your Team Has Already Stopped Using?

Old phone lines cost a fortune, desk phones sit unanswered, and calls end up with the wrong person — or nobody at all. We replace all of it with one simple system your team can use from the office, home or their mobile. For businesses in London and across the UK.

One place for every business conversation

The old phone lines are being switched off, your team is spread across too many apps, and client calls still get missed. LANIX fixes that. We move businesses in London and across the UK onto one system for calls, chat and meetings — usually Microsoft Teams or cloud calling — so your team can be reached anywhere, on the same numbers your clients already know.

LANIX moves your phone system to the cloud without losing a single number.

Your business number travels with your team

Take and make calls on your office number from a laptop, a mobile or a desk phone — at home, on site, or anywhere in the UK.

One app for calls, chat and meetings

No more paying for three tools that do overlapping jobs. Everything happens in one place your team already knows how to use.

Clients always reach the right person

Calls route to the right team, first time, with sensible rules for busy periods, out of hours and holidays — so fewer enquiries slip away.

What changes for your business

Clients reach the right person, first time

Calls land where they should instead of ringing out, sitting in voicemail or bouncing between people.

Your team is reachable wherever they are

Office, home, a client site or anywhere else in the UK — same number, same experience, no personal mobiles involved.

You stop paying for tools nobody uses

One system for calls, chat and meetings replaces the overlapping apps and old lines quietly draining your budget.

Moving office stops being a phone problem

New offices, new starters and team changes become a quick change of settings, not a months-long telecoms project.

You can finally see what is happening

Simple reporting on call volumes, missed calls and response times, so you know where to add people or change cover.

What clients say about their LANIX phone system move

How LANIX fixes your communications

Work out what you are actually paying for

  • We go through your phone bills and contracts and show you what you are paying for and what nobody uses.
  • We look at where calls get missed today — busy periods, out of hours, reception, holidays.
  • You get a straight recommendation on what to change, what to keep, and what it will cost.

Replace old phone lines with something that just works

  • Cloud phone systems that work over your internet — no more expensive ISDN or analogue lines.
  • Desk phones, laptop calling and mobile apps, all showing the same business number to your clients.
  • You pay for the users you have, and add or remove people in minutes rather than raising an order.

Turn Microsoft Teams into your phone system

  • Your team makes and takes outside calls straight from Teams — no second app to learn.
  • We set up call queues, out-of-hours rules and a proper menu so callers reach the right department.
  • Your existing numbers come across, and we can connect it to your CRM or helpdesk if you need it.

Keep calls and recordings safe and compliant

  • Call recording set up properly, with clear rules on who can listen and how long recordings are kept.
  • Everything lines up with the security you already have across Microsoft 365.
  • Written down in plain English, so your team knows what they can and cannot do.

Look after it once it is live

  • We watch call quality and reliability so problems get spotted before your clients notice.
  • Call routing, capacity and rules get adjusted as your business grows or changes shape.
  • Fully supported by LANIX alongside the rest of your IT — one number to call, wherever you are in the UK.

Where UC & Voice fits into the bigger picture

Your phone system rarely changes on its own. Businesses in London and across the UK usually sort it out alongside their wider Microsoft 365 setup, the AI tools running on the same data, or an office move where the numbers have to come too.

FAQs

You keep them. In almost every case we port your existing numbers across to the new system, so your clients carry on calling the number they already have. Porting is planned in advance and timed so there is no gap in service.

It depends on how old they are. Many modern IP desk phones can be reconfigured for a new cloud system, and we will tell you honestly if yours can. If your handsets are tied to an old on-premise system, plenty of businesses simply use laptops and mobile apps instead and buy handsets only for reception or shared areas.

Cloud phone systems are usually charged per user per month, so the cost scales with your headcount rather than a big upfront purchase. If you already pay for Microsoft 365, adding calling is often cheaper than running a separate phone system alongside it. We give you a fixed picture of licensing, any hardware and the one-off setup before you commit — and most businesses find it costs less than the old lines they are replacing.

The traditional UK phone network is being retired, which means ISDN and analogue business lines are being withdrawn and can no longer be relied on long term. If your phone system, alarm line, lift line or card machine still runs over an old line, it needs to move to an internet-based service. We identify everything that depends on those lines and move it across before it becomes urgent.

Call quality depends on your connection, so we check it first. We test your existing broadband, prioritise voice traffic on your network so calls are not fighting with downloads and video, and where the line genuinely is not good enough we recommend a better connection. We would rather fix that up front than have you blame the phone system.

No. Because the phone system lives in the cloud rather than in your building, we can set calls to automatically divert to mobiles, another office or a voicemail-to-email as soon as your connection drops. Businesses that cannot afford any interruption also run a backup connection, which we can arrange.

A straightforward move for a small team is typically a couple of weeks, most of which is waiting on number porting rather than technical work. Larger sites, multiple offices or complex call routing take longer to design and test. The switch itself normally happens overnight or at a weekend so your working day is unaffected.

You do not have to. Because LANIX handles connectivity and telephony together, you can have both under one arrangement with one point of contact. That matters when something goes wrong, because there is nobody to blame it on — we own the whole thing.

Yes, and this is one of the biggest reasons businesses switch. Staff working from home or on the road make and take calls on the business number from their laptop or mobile app. Clients see your company number, staff keep their personal number private, and nobody has to forward calls manually.

A cloud system does not care where people sit. Everyone is on the same platform, so internal calls between offices are free, staff can be reached by extension wherever they are, and reception in one site can answer for another. We support businesses across the UK, not just London, and multi-site setups are routine for us.
