A clear view of your IT
If you’re not sure whether your IT is secure, running well or fairly priced, a LANIX IT audit gives you straight answers. We cover performance, security and budget in plain English — and finish with a prioritised plan showing what to fix first, second and later.
Stop guessing. We map your servers, cloud and Microsoft 365 so you know what’s working and what’s quietly costing you.
Quick wins, medium‑term fixes and bigger projects — each with the likely impact and cost, so you can decide what’s worth doing.
You keep the findings and the prioritised plan, so every decision about your IT is made with evidence in front of you.
Know exactly where your IT stands — no more guessing.
A clear list of what to fix first, second and later.
Evidence to back your budget and contract decisions.
Costs and likely impact against each recommendation.
Businesses across the UK use these audits to:
Every LANIX IT audit examines all three aspects of your IT — performance, security, and budget & value — and each one is written up as its own report. You get the full picture in one engagement, with findings you can actually act on.
The first aspect we audit: if systems are slow or staff keep complaining, this shows you exactly why.
The second aspect we audit: wherever your weak spots are, we map them — before someone else finds them.
The third aspect we audit: if you’re paying for licences and tools nobody uses, this confirms it.
Businesses across the UK use our audits to settle the arguments, find the waste and agree what happens next.
“The audit told us in a fortnight what we had been arguing about internally for two years. We finally knew which problems were real and which were noise.”
“LANIX found licences we had been paying for since 2021 and nobody was using. The savings covered the cost of the audit several times over.”
“What impressed us was the prioritised plan. Quick wins first, costs against each item, and language our board could actually follow.”
The questions UK businesses ask us most before booking an IT audit.
It depends on the size and complexity of your setup — every audit covers performance, security and budget & value, so the price reflects how much there is to look at. After a short scoping call we give you a fixed price with no surprises, so you know exactly what you’re paying before anything starts.
Three things: how well your technology performs day to day (servers, networks, Wi‑Fi, cloud, slow logins), how well you’re protected (security settings, Microsoft 365, backups, who has access to what), and what you’re spending (licences, hardware, support contracts, tools nobody uses). Every audit covers all three.
Most audits run over two to six weeks depending on scope and the size of your environment. We agree a realistic timetable during scoping so you know when to expect the draft and the final reports.
Very little. We work from read‑only access, your existing documentation and short conversations with a handful of people. Nothing gets changed or switched off, and we schedule around your busy periods.
No. We use read‑only or limited access wherever possible. Exactly what we need is agreed in writing before we start, and we follow your security and confidentiality rules throughout.
They overlap but they’re not the same. A cybersecurity audit looks only at how well you’re protected. Our IT audit covers that through the Security Report, and also looks at performance and cost — so you see the whole picture, not just the risk side.
Free health checks are usually quick scans designed to lead to a sales pitch for one product. A LANIX IT audit is a proper deep‑dive: we gather evidence, analyse it, and give you written reports with prioritised actions and costs you can put in front of your board or bank.
Yes — it’s one of the most common reasons people come to us. The findings give your team an independent, evidence‑based view of the estate, plus a prioritised roadmap they can work through alongside their day‑to‑day workload.
It’s very useful preparation. The audit finds the gaps that would trip you up during certification and tells you how to close them, in priority order. It isn’t a certification itself — you’ll still need an accredited certifying body for that.
Yes. We’re London‑based but work with businesses right across the UK. Most of the audit can be done remotely, and we come to site where it genuinely helps — for example when we need to look at server rooms, cabling or Wi‑Fi coverage.
Tell us what’s going on with your IT and we’ll set up a call — wherever you’re based in the UK. On that call we’ll:
